Rear TV screens and Play Station.

Hi all,

I just bought my new X5 diesel last night and I spent the entire day cleaning it inside outside which is a huge job especially polishing!!!

It came with Rear TV screens and Play Station, however the Left screen only seems to work and has no signal. Can anyone recommend a quick way to check the system set up? Also the CD player is missing the CD holder, which is odd are these easy to pick up?

Hi,

No way of really checking unless you follow all the cables back... Big job when you're looking at someone else's work.

But at least you have one that works which you can compare the other one to.

Hi Sanj,

I set out the task to swap the screens and it worked on the cable which is connected to the non working screen, so I might a have a bunched screen.

The screen is displaying "no signal" which is annoying. I went to a BMW Indy garage and they recommend me to take it to a dealer, personally I'd rather get it seen by an Indy specialist who knows his stuff and costs a fraction of the price!

Where you based mate? You know I might be able to help if you're ever near London way(ish).

The backs need to come of the front seats and then follow the cabling. Since you have 'no signal' you have power. I reckon a simple case of the phon or original screen connection has come loose. No nackered screen IMO...
