Yes Oil again?

Post by jeegnesh » Mon Nov 28, 2011 3:01 pm

Other then the right grade of Oil, does it really matter on brand? From my last service which i have 2 lights to go till next and 15,000 miles done I had some 5-30 Comma fully synth oil and it's been fine, only topped up today about 300ml.

Asking as euro have 25% off and I can see this rather cheap one on the recommended under X5, wondering if it's ok?

My understanding is that as long as the spec is the same then you are comparing apples with apples. The difference in brand comes in where different brands may include a different variety of additives (or not) but the base spec remains the same
