4.6is LPG on it's way, couple of bits needed.

Post by weirdfish » Fri Feb 03, 2012 3:34 pm

Finally found a decent one, I know it's decent as I've owned this particular car before, bought it in 2009, then sold to hexagon, they sold to a guy in Dudley, he had LPG fitted, drove it for 18months, now it's coming back to me.
He couldn't believe it when I showed him the previous owners name on the v5, and then showed him my license, anyway enough of all that old tosh. I need a couple of bits for my new/old toy, firstly the mesh dog/luggage thingy, it would seem that he sold it as he didn't want it, think I've read about people who do this, :x
Secondly, if anyone has a load cover that fits the entire rear luggage space of the car that they don't want, then let me know, ( it's the one that hooks behind the rear head rests and drapes up the sides and covers the tailgate when it's down ), need to ferry the dog around.
I will have a look on eBay, but would rather buy from someone on here, at least I might get the right bit.
More later when the toy finally arrives.
Thanx.

Hello weirdfish. Great story. Sorry can't help with your requests but purely because I'm interested in the LPG side of things, why was the last owner shipping the car on only 18months after paying to fit LPG? Seems to payback the longer you keep it?

I think it's to do with his business, he now has a new ML on lease, and he's got outstanding finance on the Beemer, so probably better financially for him, I know he's losing a fair old chunk on the deal.
You are right about payback, been talked about a lot on here, and it does take quite a time to get your money back, so best buy one already converted, having said that, you can come unstuck there as well if the system is wrong or badly fitted, so always do your homework first.
