Has anyone got or seen this just been on the BMW web extras page !!!?

Not seen it on an E53, but I have it on my E71. Camera in each front wing about 12" back from the front of the car.

Very useful at junctions/driveways where vision is restricted. I'm amazed it was never offered as an OEM Option on the E53.

Has saved me from having the nose chopped off a couple of times in rural Wales at the outlaws.

Tbh I would do one bt the wiring it took to do the back one was hard to get neat, I need more mods I've got more parts thatn I don't know wat to put on and an just always on the hunt, bt the other day thaught I might get an m3 e46 so I can mod that now the x5s nearly finished!

I wonder why it was never listed in the factory options list? When I ordered mine in 2004, the reversing camera was in the list and not this but it would have made a lot of sense have this as a factory option, especially given how long it takes to put in afterwards. I mean you've got to be looking at Â£500 just in labour from a Dealer plus the cost of the two retrofit kits.
