Hi all, a minor niggle but bugging me!
I had the battery disconnected on Saturday - I had air suspension deflated to replace stub axle bush. After all done and with battery reconnected I had to update clock etc. I then used the RC button on LH stalk to change the dashboard display to my chosen option (CONS 1).
All was fine until ignition turned off, when I started the car later I noted display blank, pressing RC button brings the required info back but not retaining last chosen as previously!?
Note that I have disconnected the battery previously and never had this issue! I checked the manual - It basically says that last chosen option will be retained.

Re: Dasboard information panel
Short of dropping the battery off again for 20 mins or so, nothing obvious springs to mind. The functions are all there, just the BC button not working fully 'as advertised' in terms of functionality. Though why it should do it after the car has been running does seem odd. I would have expected it to do it straight away.... ???
A 'battery reset' is about the same as 'take 2 aspirin, and call me in the morning' with these cars....even the BMW Emergency Service guys seem to use it as the first 'fix' for any ailments.......
