I have noticed that my sat nav screen has now gone a horrable colour, like an orange tint to it. Seem to have lost it's blueness.
Can anyone advise on what this could be please ?

This happens to mine now and again, just remove the 4 small torx screws and pull it out of the dash, there's two plugs on the back, a white one and a blue one, its the blue one where the problem is, just spray it with contact cleaner and re-fit, mine does this about every 6 months or so.
Hope this helps.

How to I remove the surround without damaging it so I can get to the torx screws ?

the plastic trim is just clipped on. use a sharp plastic edged tool or very carefully a screwdriver wrapped in a cloth.
i actually use something like this - ensures that trim doesn't get damaged.
