Post by JamieX5 » Fri Nov 23, 2012 9:39 pm

Only 7 days left until the X5 gets a nice remap from Jason. Can't wait. Booked it in 2 weeks ago and I have been like a little kid since. Lol. Will post review after.

Only six days to go Jamie!  ::) is this an early Christmas present or have you convinced the missies that it will pay for its self with the increased fuel economy?

Late birthday present to myself mate. I have been dying to get it done but wanted to wait a few weeks after headgasket to make sure all was running correctly. Can't wait

It will put a huge grin on your face afterwards. You will see a good increase and it will feel like a totally different motor.

Good news. I used to have a Leon cupra r before the x5 and I had that mapped at the difference was amazing. My dad has a 330d 184bhp mapped and that drives really well. 200k on it aswel. Lol

FI'd cars always make huge gains. I had my old 330d mapped with other bits and was looking around 270-280ish bhp and more torque than a standard M5...lol

Map all done. Drives so much better. So much more pull especially mid range. 70mph on the motorway and it felt like the car just wanted to pull more and more. I am really pleased with the drivability improvement. It feels like it should do coming out the factory IMO. I don't know why manufactures detune there cars so much. The mpg seems to be improving also 35mpg on way home, that's giving it a bit too.

Jason is a really nice guy, has a lot of knowledge. Would definitely recommend him to anyone. He has also gave me a contact to call about getting the stupid 2nd to 1st lurch sorted out. Best get saving  ::)
