First of all, I must say that this is a forum with a uniqe atmosphere, good tone and tonns of know how!

My X5 is 02 3.0D individual. Carbonbalck with beige leather sport interior. It has 248Tkm on the meter, but the previus owner have spend A LOT of money on it so it is in good condition. To mention something; New gearbox, glow plugs, pads and disks on all wheels and all services. It`s a tight ride

Acctually is my second X5. The first one was a 3.0i US version, but that was some years ago. When it comes to BMW, the list is long, but its the 79 M535 and the 83 635 i remember - and miss......

There is a time in life for everything, and now it`s kids and a lot of driving in the mountain, where the picture is taken, so as you can see a 4x4 is not nice to have - it`s need to have!

The next I will tell, most of you probably don`t belive. I`m not drunk or "high" on anything, but we have a insane tax system in Norway. In exampel; If a bye a similar to the X5 i have from Germany, and import to norway, I have to pay aproxematley £ 10 000,- in tax. This in addition to the cost of the car.......

The tax system is based on emision, HP and weight of the car. The X5 isn`t exactly the perfect car for the Norwegian tax system.....

I have, for my X5 paid £ 14 000,-, wich is cheap. They normaly cost around £ 20 000,- for the same age, and a bit lower milage. So, all-in-all wery satisfied. The wife think it`s to big (heard that before..) so I for once it`s MY car

Your car looks quite at home out there in the mountains. Not may X5s get used to their full potential. Yours certainly will.

I park mine on the muddy mess outside the Doctor's surgery regularly.....car park spaces are narrower than most cars >:(

It's off-road innit....

And welcome to the OP too......

I even had to drive to the office yesterday....

(It's normally a 15 metre walk)

Welcome aboard and lovely pic. I went off road for the first time yesterday. Cars in front were holding me up from turning left so 2 wheels up on to the grass verge and away I went...PMSL.

Hi and Welcome from another newbie. If any wants to try some very light off roading (legally) I used to off road my Land Rover (not road going) once a month in a Quarry near Rochdale, they have a route which you would not hurt your car on. Count me out though unless I get another off roader.

Hello and welcome. Norway is a lovely country, I have spent some time at Bodø and Ørland over the years. Everyone has always been very friendly and I got to stock up with plenty of Salmon. Enjoy your X5!

I took my 530d from Sweden to Oslo to Bodø a few years ago. My partner is from Norway And we try to visit her parents whenever possible. She still can't believe how cheap cars are in England. But against that I could buy a nice house in Oslo or anywhere else in Norway and have considerable change left over if I sold my Uk house

. So I guess it balances out in the end.

Nice to see the X in proper tyres showing how good they can actually be.
