Steering wheel paint defects

Post by jabberwock48 » Mon Jul 21, 2014 6:50 pm

Hi
Just bought a 2005 3.0d Sport. Along with others we looked at the paint (?) is coming off the black multi function steering wheel plastic section with the buttons where it meets the rim. Is matt black paint best for touching up?
Thanks for any advice
John

you could try carbon wrap - I believe the 3m material comes in a  plain or gloss black too if you don't fancy the carbon fibre weave look

£30 or so sees you right for a new surround and yes loads on here (just search) and you'll see CF wrap, silver paint finish and so forth.

Replacing is easy btw if you're worried about DIY (again in the threads already posted).
